Before Your Appointment

Vera’s Loving Hands provides outpatient psychiatric care through secure telehealth appointments. Intake paperwork, consent forms, and verification steps must be completed before appointments are confirmed.

Practice Policies

Intake Forms Required

All new patients must complete required intake paperwork, consent forms, and clinical screening tools before the first appointment.

Insurance Verification

Florida insurance patients must complete verification through Headway before appointments are confirmed. Copays, deductibles, and coverage vary by plan.

Self-Pay Appointments

Self-pay appointments are available for Florida and Washington patients through the secure booking portal.

Cancellation Policy

Appointments should be canceled or rescheduled at least 24 hours in advance when possible. Late cancellations or missed appointments may be subject to practice policy.

Telehealth Requirements

Patients must be physically located in the state where they are receiving services during the telehealth appointment.

Emergency Care

Vera’s Loving Hands does not provide emergency or crisis services. In crisis, call 911 or 988, or go to the nearest emergency department.

Controlled Medication Policy

Controlled medications are never guaranteed and are prescribed only when clinically appropriate after assessment, review of history, safety considerations, and ongoing monitoring.

  • Controlled medication decisions require clinical evaluation and documentation.
  • Patients may be required to complete screenings, follow-up visits, urine drug screening, EKG review, or other monitoring when clinically indicated.
  • Medication refills require appropriate follow-up and continued clinical justification.
  • Early refills, lost medication replacement, or requests outside the treatment plan may not be approved.
  • Unsafe, aggressive, inappropriate, or medication-seeking behavior may result in referral to a higher level of care or termination from the practice.

Do you accept insurance?

Florida patients may use participating insurance plans through Headway. Washington services are currently self-pay only.

Are appointments virtual?

Yes. Appointments are completed through secure telehealth platforms.

Do you prescribe controlled substances?

Controlled medications are considered only when clinically appropriate. Prescriptions are not guaranteed.

Do you provide therapy?

Supportive psychotherapy may be included when clinically appropriate. Patients needing ongoing therapy may also be referred to a therapist.

What conditions do you treat?

Care may include anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma-related concerns, mood concerns, sleep concerns, and other adult mental health needs.
